Ho, Volta Region â July 26, 2026: The WONADEM UBA
FOUNDATION (WUBAF) successfully held its 2026 Zonal Get-Together at the Ho
Depot, bringing members together for fellowship, appreciation, important
deliberations, and renewed commitment to the vision of the Foundation.
The gathering, which commenced at 3:15 PM, was
moderated by Ms. Caroline Agbolosoo and Mr. Bright Ametsitsi. The
program opened with a prayer led by Miss Bridget Nanevi, followed by
self-introductions and the introduction of the Chairperson and Assistant
Chairperson, Mr. Agbesi Nukporwoe and Ms. Bless Mavis Dravie.
In her welcome address, the Ho Zonal Overseer, Ms.
Bernice Achea, expressed appreciation to members for their dedication and
participation. She emphasized that the strength and achievements of WUBAF
depend greatly on the commitment, sacrifice, and unity of its members.
A major discussion focused on the reintroduction of
monthly zonal dues. Following extensive deliberations, members unanimously
accepted GH¢5 monthly zonal dues, while maintaining the existing system of
voluntary contributions. The decision is expected to strengthen the zone's
financial capacity and support its activities and contributions to WUBAF
programs.
Members also discussed the management of voluntary
contributions, with various proposals presented on the percentage to be
retained by the zone and the portion allocated to the intended purpose. The
existing 20%/80% arrangement remained under consideration for the appropriate
final decision.
The zone further agreed on the need to acquire
essential items for its programs, including plates, spoons, cups, rubber boxes,
mats, chairs, a sound system, and a canopy. These resources will help improve
the zone's ability to organize activities and provide logistical support for
members and WUBAF programs.
The upcoming WUBAF 2026/2027 End-of-Year Mega
Outreach was another major focus of the gathering. Members were encouraged
to support the humanitarian program through physical participation, cash
donations, and donations in kind.
Members wishing to donate physical items were
encouraged to contact the zonal leadership for assistance with collection,
while financial donations can be made through the designated WUBAF MoMo number:

The leadership urged members to support the outreach
according to their capacity as WUBAF continues its commitment to extending
love, care, and practical support to vulnerable and underprivileged
communities.
The One Member, One Chair Initiative was also
discussed, with a proposal for the Ho Zone to acquire 10 chairs in support of
WUBAF. Further consultation with members through the zonal platform was
proposed before the initiative is finalized.
A dedicated committee was also introduced to support
the Ho Zonal Leadership in coordinating and administering the affairs of the
zone. The team is expected to contribute to member engagement, coordination,
and the effective implementation of zonal activities.
The get-together also provided an opportunity to
appreciate members and recognize achievements.
Ms. Bless Mavis Dravie
presented a citation to the Zonal Executives on behalf of the Ho Zone in
recognition of their dedication and service.
In another special recognition, Mr. Kenneth Dramani
Karim was honoured for his academic achievement after graduating with a B.PH
in Nutrition from the University of Health and Allied Sciences (UHAS). The
recognition reflected WUBAF Ho Zone's commitment to encouraging excellence,
personal development, and service to humanity.
In his closing remarks, Mr. Agbesi Nukporwoe, Chairperson
for the gathering, encouraged members to remain committed to WUBAF and
contribute towards the upcoming Mega Outreach in whatever way they could. He
also urged members to be more time-conscious at future programmes and expressed
appreciation to everyone who contributed to the success of the gathering.
The vote of thanks was delivered by Ms. Saraphine
Ayivi, while the closing prayer was led by Ms. Patience Xornam Edifor.
The program officially ended at 6:00 PM.
Although the planned Borborbor/Jama display could not
take place due to time constraints, the 2026 Ho Zone Get-Together successfully
achieved its core objectives of fellowship, member engagement, appreciation,
collective decision-making, and planning for the future.
The gathering reaffirmed the importance of unity and
active participation in advancing the mission of WONADEM UBA FOUNDATION.
As WUBAF prepares for its 2026/2027 End-of-Year Mega Outreach, the Ho Zone
remains committed to contributing its quota towards touching lives and bringing
hope to communities in need.
