I WISH I KNEW

I Wish I Knew

Oh, the human heart, a restless, seeking thing,

Navigating life's maze, where shadows often cling.

We stumble, fall, and rise, with hope held in our hand,

But often wonder silently, where we are meant to stand.

I wish I knew my destination, the path that's meant for me,

The purpose that defines me, the future I should see.

If only I could glimpse it, that promised, distant shore,

Perhaps I'd tread more cautiously, and stumble so much less, and more.

With every step uncertain, a question deep inside,

Am I on the right track now, or am I being misguide?

The choices that confront me, the crossroads that appear,

Would clarity be offered, if my destiny was near?

If I knew where my heart was destined, what life had planned for me,

Would I face the world with boldness, and courage, wild and free?

Or would the knowledge alter, the way that I might roam,

And rob me of the magic, that calls this life our home?

Perhaps it's in the not knowing, that wisdom we must find,

To embrace the twists and turns, with an open heart and mind.

To trust the journey's purpose, however long and steep,

And know that in the striving, the answers we shall keep.

For destiny is not a fixed point, but rather a flowing stream,

And learning, growth, and changes are all part of the grand dream.

So I will keep on moving, with faith to light my way,

And know that in the process, I'll learn what life does say.

Though the destination's hidden, a secret yet untold,

The journey is the treasure, the story to unfold.

And maybe, in the end, when my time upon the earth is done,

I’ll find my destination, where my spirit can be one.
