About Us

Wonadem Uba Foundation (WUBAF) is a non-Profit, non-denominational and non-political organization established to support the poor and the disadvantaged in communities. WUBAF has been in operation unofficially since 2012 solely by the founder Mr. Michael Edem UBA Akpeleasi (Sir UBA) when he was a teacher in Kedjebi in the Volta Region of Ghana. During this period as a teacher, he devoted his time helping pupils who were drawn back in academics because of the lack of basic needs such as school materials, food, clothes, shoes etc. He committed about 70% of his monthly salary to taking care of these children without any support from any sponsor. In February 2020 WUBAF was officially established with few members on board to support the distribution of some basic needs to the aged, widows and other groups. Currently, the Head Office is at Lolito near Dabala, South Tongu District in the Volta Region of Ghana (The hometown of the Founder). WUBAF has members both in and outside Ghana and has Branches or Zones in the Volta, Central, Greater Accra, Eastern, Ashanti, Brong-Ahafo and Northern Region of Ghana. see more...
