WUBAF Accra Zone Extends Love and Support to Mr. Gabriel Sogbe Following Eye Surgery

As part of its commitment to promoting compassion, unity, and social support among members and communities, the Accra Zone of the Wonadem UBA Foundation organized a visitation to Mr. Gabriel Sogbe on Friday, 9th May 2026, at East Legon A.R.S. Junction in Accra following his recent eye surgery.

The purpose of the visit was to check on his wellbeing, encourage him during his recovery process, and demonstrate the Foundation’s values of love, care, and family support.

The visitation team consisted of the following members:

1.    Miss Bridgette Cobbinah

2.    Mr. Seth Kweku Besah

3.    Miss Veronica Esinam Agbodzi

4.    Mr. Lebene Kornyo

The team assembled at Madina Station and journeyed together to East Legon A.R.S. Junction, arriving at exactly 8:50 a.m. Upon arrival, members warmly introduced themselves to Mr. Gabriel Sogbe and exchanged pleasantries in an atmosphere filled with love and concern.

An opening prayer was led by Mr. Seth Kweku Bessah, committing the visitation and the health of Mr. Gabriel Sogbe into the hands of God.

During interactions, the team explained the purpose of their visit and spent quality time listening to Mr. Gabriel Sogbe as he shared his experience regarding his eye condition and surgery. According to him, the problem initially began as a cataract condition for which he sought medical attention. However, due to delays in undergoing surgery, the condition worsened over time.

He used the opportunity to advise members and the general public to seek immediate medical care whenever they experience health challenges, emphasizing that delayed treatment can sometimes lead to more serious complications.

Members encouraged him with words of hope and reassurance, reminding him that he was not alone in his recovery journey. The visit reflected the mission of Wonadem UBA Foundation to stand with members during difficult moments and provide emotional, moral, and practical support whenever necessary.

As part of the visitation, the team presented several items and financial support to assist him during his recovery period. The items included provisions and an undisclosed amount of money presented in an envelope.

The presentation symbolized the Foundation’s culture of generosity, compassion, and genuine concern for the wellbeing of members and loved ones.

Photographs were later taken to capture the memorable moments shared during the visit.

A closing prayer was subsequently offered by Mr. Seth Kweku Bessah before members departed peacefully to their various homes at exactly 10:20 a.m.

The Accra Zone also expressed heartfelt appreciation to Mr. Seth Kweku Bessah for generously covering the transportation expenses for members from Madina to the venue. Members further thanked God for His mercy and protection after the vehicle carrying Ms. Bridgette Cobbinah and Mr. Seth Kweku Besah developed a flat tire on their way to the visitation. By the grace of God, no harm occurred, and the journey continued safely.

The successful visitation once again demonstrated the core values and objectives of Wonadem UBA Foundation — promoting love, unity, care, emotional support, and community impact. Beyond organizational activities, the Foundation continues to prove that it is a family that genuinely cares for the welfare of its members.

The Accra Zone remains committed to strengthening bonds among members and extending support to those in need through meaningful acts of kindness and fellowship.

We pray for speedy healing, renewed strength, and complete recovery for Mr. Gabriel Sogbe.

We Love, We Care, We Comfort.
