WONADEM UBA FOUNDATION STANDS IN LOVE, CARE, AND COMFORT AT THE FUNERAL OF MRS DZAKAGO’S FATHER

On the 30th and 31st of January, 2026. Wonadem UBA Foundation (WUBAF) once again lived out its core values of love, care, and comfort as members gathered in Sogakope to support Mr. and Mrs. Dzakago during the funeral rites of their beloved father.

In the spirit of human connection, love remains the thread that binds us, care the gentle stitch that holds us together, and comfort the soothing balm that heals wounds. These values were clearly demonstrated as members from across the country came together in unity to mourn with the bereaved family, in fulfillment of the biblical exhortation: “Rejoice with those who rejoice; mourn with those who mourn.

Advance Team and Preparations

An advance team from the Catering Department arrived at the venue on Wednesday to commence preparations, under the leadership of the Head of Department, Mrs. Celikem Akplor. On Friday, members of the Media Department also joined the team to carry out their assigned duties as directed by the family. In line with the foundation’s principles and guidelines, individuals who did not register as part of the advance team were not permitted to stay over.

Funeral Service

The funeral service began at approximately 9:10 a.m. as the body was conveyed from the family house to the church premises. The solemn service centered on reflection and gratitude for a life well lived. The officiating pastor commended the late father for his sacrifices and faithfulness to the church, highlighting his significant role in the acquisition of land for the church’s current chapel. This testimony served as a reminder that service to God and humanity never goes unnoticed. The service concluded around 12:17 p.m.

Familiarization and Dining

Following the service, WUBAF members proceeded to the reception venue where they spent time familiarizing themselves with one another. After dining together, members introduced themselves, strengthening bonds of fellowship and unity within the foundation

Donation and Cultural Display

Mr. Suglo Sampson Koby made a donation of items to the foundation, which was warmly received by the Assistant General Overseer on behalf of WUBAF. Subsequently, members moved to the funeral grounds where they participated in a vibrant borborbor dance session for approximately two hours. Participation was massive, with the Sisterhood especially showcasing energetic and captivating dance performances.

Departmental Contributions and Closing

All departments executed their responsibilities excellently throughout the program. Special appreciation goes to the Catering, Media, Transport, and Music Departments for their dedication and teamwork, which contributed significantly to the success of the event. The day’s activities were successfully brought to a close around 5:00 p.m.

Through unity and compassion, Wonadem UBA Foundation once again proved that it is more than an organization—it is a family that stands together in times of joy and sorrow.
