The Wonadem UBA Foundation (WUBAF) donated jerseys and footballs to Akrofu Agorve M.A. Junior High School on May 14, 2026, in the Volta Region of Ghana. The Ho Zone team represented the foundation at the event and facilitated the presentation on its behalf.

The team arrived at the school at 9:45 a.m. By 10:11 a.m., the school had arranged the grounds and officially welcomed the team and invited guests. The program was called to order at 10:15 a.m. by MCs Mr. Vincent Datsomor and Ms. Caroline Agbolosoo, followed by an opening prayer from Rev. Abraham Tsakpo.

Mr. Vincent introduced the staff and guests, and the Headteacher introduced the foundation to those present. As Zone PRO, Ms. Caroline Agbolosoo presented the foundation’s mission, vision, and core values to the gathering.

Madam Charity Dzah, PTA Chairperson, was introduced and accepted the role of Chairperson for the occasion. Mr. Bright Letsu briefed the gathering on the purpose of the visit and explained why the foundation chose to donate the sports kits to the school.

Ms. Bernice Achea delivered the keynote remarks on behalf of the Founder/CEO, Edem Edem Michael Forgive UBA Akpeleasi, widely known as SIR UBA. She addressed school authorities, staff, and students, and called for collective effort to build a brighter future for the community. Her address was paused briefly to welcome the Chiefs and elders as they arrived.

At the request of the Headteacher, the items were presented through the School Improvement Support Officer, Madam Mary Ama Entwi, and the Chiefs. Jerseys and footballs were handed over to the SISO and the Chiefs respectively.

The SISO, speaking for the school, expressed appreciation and assured the foundation that the items would be used well to support the school and zone in sporting competitions. Headmaster Mr. Ernest Nah thanked Mr. Vincent Datsomor for facilitating the opportunity, noting that he had once taught Sir UBA, and encouraged others to support the school and community in similar ways.

The Chiefs and elders thanked the foundation for the gifts and urged students to take care of the items and balance academics with sports, noting that sports is increasingly becoming a respected career path.

In her closing remarks, Chairperson Madam Charity Dzah called for discipline and hard work. She thanked the foundation for choosing the school and credited the blessing to the hard work and good behavior seen through Mr. Vincent. She admonished students to show respect to teachers and elders, study hard, and become blessings to others and the nation, and encouraged teachers to actively guide students during training.

The event closed at 11:40 a.m. with a vote of thanks from School Prefect Ms. Angel Kpah and a closing prayer by Rev. Abraham Tsakpo. A group photo followed, capturing teachers, guests, Chiefs, and students in their new jerseys. The Media and PRO departments conducted short interviews afterward.

As a sign of gratitude, the school presented coconuts to the team for refreshment. The delegation departed at 11:55 a.m., arriving in Ho around 12:40 p.m. After a brief refreshment stop at Rabazy Spot, members returned to their homes.

The Ho Zone team expressed gratitude to GOSUBA for protection and guidance throughout the day, and thanked Sir UBA and the entire Wonadem UBA Foundation for the opportunity to represent the foundation and carry out the assignment.

This act highlights the foundation’s commitment to empowering youth and building relationships with communities for a greater tomorrow, filled with love and growth.
