The Wonadem UBA Foundation (WUBAF), through its
Aflao-Sogakorpe Zone, has once again demonstrated its commitment to education,
youth empowerment, and community development through the donation of sports
equipment to Nyravase Community School at Anlo-AfiaƉenyigba in the Volta Region
of Ghana.
The donation exercise took place on Thursday, 14th May
2026, as part of the Foundation’s ongoing efforts to support educational
institutions and encourage active participation in sports and extracurricular
activities among students.
The items presented included football jerseys and
footballs donated on behalf of the Founder and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of
WUBAF to enhance sporting activities and promote teamwork, discipline, and
physical development among students.
Members of the Aflao-Sogakorpe Zone who participated
in the outreach included Yormekpe Klenam Patience, Samuel Samory Gbadago, Love
UBA Afanou, Alice Kudi Vilawoe, Michael Danso, Mary Buaku, Geoffery Sepenu,
Saviour Atorkor, and Dora Keteni.
The team first assembled at the residence of Mr.
Joseph Wordu before proceeding to Nyravase Community School for the official
presentation ceremony.
Upon arrival, the delegation received a warm welcome
from teachers, staff members, and students of the school. The purpose of the
visit and donation was officially communicated to the school authorities and
the student body.
Although the School Director, Mr. Redeemer Yeborwo,
was unavailable at the time of the visit, the Head Teacher (Academics), Mr.
Michael Amenuvor, Assistant Head Teacher (Finance), Mr. Solomon Atsu Agbeworvi,
and other members of staff were present to receive the delegation.
Also present at the ceremony was the Assembly Member
for the Nyravase Tengekorpe Electoral Area and former Head Teacher of the
school, Mr. Raphael Seth Borklo, alongside Mr. Saviour Ahiataku, Mr. Bernard
Yeborwo, and Mr. Anthony Wordu. The officials were introduced to the WUBAF
delegation by the PTA Chairman, Mr. Joseph Kofi Wordu.
In a show of appreciation and excitement, the students
warmly welcomed the WUBAF team with a poetry recitation beautifully led by Miss
Shiela Abielekpor. The performance created a joyful atmosphere and reflected
the students’ gratitude for the Foundation’s support.
The official presentation of the sports equipment was
carried out by Miss Love UBA Afanou, who emphasized the importance of sports in
the development of young people and highlighted WUBAF’s commitment to
empowering future generations through education and recreational opportunities.
The presentation was successfully completed amid
excitement and appreciation from both students and teachers. Photographs were
subsequently taken to capture the memorable moments shared during the event.
During interactions with the delegation, teachers
expressed heartfelt gratitude to WUBAF for remembering and supporting the
school community. They also recalled a previous outreach and support programme
organized by the Foundation in the community in 2021, describing it as
impactful and beneficial.
The teachers further expressed their desire to see
more developmental and humanitarian initiatives carried out within the
community and indicated their interest in becoming part of the Foundation due
to its commitment to community transformation and social impact.
The Public Relations Officer of the delegation also
took the opportunity to educate the gathering on the vision, mission, and
activities of WUBAF, highlighting the Foundation’s dedication to impacting
lives, empowering communities, and creating lasting positive change across
Ghana.
Following the successful presentation ceremony,
members of the delegation returned to the residence of Mr. Joseph Wordu, where
they shared lunch and refreshments in an atmosphere of unity, fellowship, and
appreciation.
The outreach exercise ended successfully, and all
participating members returned home safely.
The donation to Nyravase Community School serves as
another reflection of the Wonadem UBA Foundation’s dedication to promoting
education, youth development, sports empowerment, and community support across
Ghana.
Through initiatives such as this, WUBAF continues to
invest in the future of young people while extending love, hope, and practical
support to communities in need. The Foundation remains committed to empowering
the next generation and creating opportunities that contribute to sustainable
community development.
