WUBAF Demonstrates Unity and Solidarity at
a Member’s Late Mother’s Funeral
Date: Saturday, 10
October 2026
Location: Agave Agorta (Nworlikope)
Participating Zones: Ho, Central West, Accra, Sogakope, and Aflao
The WONADEM UBA FOUNDATION (WUBAF) continues to
demonstrate that its commitment to love, care, and service extends beyond
community outreach programs and organized events. On Saturday, 10 October 2026,
members of the Foundation gathered at Agave Agorta (Nworlikope) to support Mr.
McRobert Dogbey and his family during the funeral of his late mother.
The gathering reflected the Foundation’s spirit of
unity, compassion, and solidarity, reaffirming its commitment to standing with
members and their families during difficult moments.
The church service commenced at approximately 9:45
a.m. During the service, some WUBAF members assisted the Catering Department
with essential preparations. Following the conclusion of the service at
approximately 12:10 p.m., members continued to offer practical support by
serving the bereaved family and other funeral attendees.
After refreshments, a donation was presented to Mr.
McRobert Dogbey on behalf of the Sogakope Zone and the Foundation. This gesture
served as an expression of sympathy, care, and encouragement to the bereaved
family.
The Foundation’s Public Relations Officer, Ms. Love
Afanou, expressed appreciation on behalf of the Founder and the Executive Board
to all members who made time to attend the funeral and support their fellow
member.
She also encouraged members to participate more
actively in future Foundation activities, emphasizing that commitment, unity,
and collective responsibility are essential to maintaining the strong family
spirit that defines WUBAF.
In addition, she highlighted the upcoming WUBAF
2026/2027 Mega Outreach, encouraging members to support the initiative by
contributing donated items early. Early submissions, she explained, would allow
sufficient time for planning, coordination, and transportation ahead of the
outreach.
The Foundation’s Chief Adviser and Co-Founder, Mr.
Nuseli Akpeleasi, also conveyed appreciation on behalf of the Executives and
the Foundation, acknowledging the commitment and participation of members who
stood with their fellow member during this difficult period.
A total of 24 WUBAF members representing the
Ho, Central West, Accra, Sogakope, and Aflao Zones participated in the funeral
activities.
Their presence demonstrated the strong bonds
connecting members across the Foundation’s various zones. Despite geographical
distances and individual commitments, members came together to offer practical
assistance, emotional support, and a meaningful expression of solidarity.
The activities concluded with a group photograph
before members departed at approximately 3:45 p.m. By 9:10 p.m., all
participating members had reported their safe arrival.
WUBAF’s participation in the funeral was more than an
act of attendance. Through practical assistance, a financial donation, messages
of encouragement, and their collective presence, members reaffirmed the
Foundation’s commitment to supporting one another through life’s most
challenging moments.
This initiative reflects the values that guide WUBAF: love,
care, compassion, unity, and service to humanity. It also reinforces the
Foundation’s belief that its responsibility to members extends beyond organized
programs and celebrations to include standing together during moments of grief
and loss.
As WUBAF continues to pursue its humanitarian mission
and prepare for the 2026/2027 Mega Outreach under the theme “Together We
Rise,” the Foundation encourages all members to strengthen their commitment
to active participation, mutual support, and collective responsibility.
Through genuine love and unity, WUBAF remains
committed to building a stronger family and making a meaningful difference in
the lives of its members and the communities it serves.
