In line with its commitment to promoting compassion, unity, and social support among members and communities, the Accra Zone of the Wonadem UBA Foundation (WUBAF) organized a visitation to Mr. Gabriel Sogbe on Friday, 9th May 2026, at East Legon A.R.S. Junction in Accra following his recent eye surgery.
The purpose of the visit was to check on his
wellbeing, offer encouragement during his recovery process, and demonstrate the
Foundation’s enduring values of love, care, and family support.
The visitation team was made up of the following WUBAF
members:
Members assembled at Madina Station and travelled
together to the venue, arriving at exactly 8:50 a.m.
Upon arrival, members warmly introduced themselves to
Mr. Gabriel Sogbe and exchanged pleasantries in an atmosphere marked by genuine
concern and fellowship. The visitation commenced with an opening prayer led by
Mr. Seth Kweku Bessah, who committed the health of Mr. Sogbe and the purpose of
the gathering into the hands of God.
During the interaction, members spent time listening
to Mr. Sogbe as he shared his medical journey. He explained that his condition
initially began as a cataract problem for which he sought medical attention.
However, due to delays in undergoing surgery, the condition gradually worsened.
Drawing from his experience, he encouraged members and
the public to seek prompt medical care whenever health challenges arise,
emphasizing that delaying treatment can sometimes result in more serious
complications.
Members responded with words of hope, reassurance, and
encouragement, reminding him that he was not alone in his recovery journey. The
interaction reflected WUBAF’s mission of standing with individuals during
difficult moments and providing emotional, moral, and practical support.
As part of the visitation, the Accra Zone presented
provisions and financial support to assist Mr. Gabriel Sogbe during his
recovery period. The gifts, together with an undisclosed amount of money
presented in an envelope, symbolized the Foundation’s culture of generosity,
compassion, and genuine concern for the wellbeing of members and their
families.
The presentation served as a practical demonstration
of WUBAF’s commitment to supporting people beyond words, ensuring that members
receive encouragement and assistance when they need it most.
The Accra Zone expressed heartfelt appreciation to Mr.
Seth Kweku Bessah for generously sponsoring the transportation expenses of
members from Madina to the visitation venue.
Members also thanked God for His mercy and protection
after the vehicle carrying Miss Bridgette Cobbinah and Mr. Seth Kweku Bessah
developed a flat tire while travelling to the venue. By God's grace, no harm
occurred, and the journey continued safely, allowing the visitation to proceed
successfully.
Photographs were taken to preserve the memorable
moments shared during the visit. The programme concluded with a closing prayer
led by Mr. Seth Kweku Bessah, after which members departed peacefully to their
respective homes at exactly 10:20 a.m.
The successful visitation once again highlighted the
core values and objectives of the Wonadem UBA Foundation—promoting love, unity,
care, emotional support, and positive community impact.
Beyond its organizational activities, WUBAF continues
to demonstrate that it is more than a foundation; it is a family that genuinely
cares about the welfare of its members and the communities it serves. Through
meaningful acts of kindness and fellowship, the Foundation remains committed to
strengthening bonds among members and extending support to those in need.
As a Foundation, we pray for speedy healing, renewed
strength, and complete recovery for Mr. Gabriel Sogbe.
We Love, We Care, We Comfort.
