Joy, thanksgiving, and celebration filled the
auditorium of the Apostles Revelation Society (A.R.S.) Edem Parish in Ho
on Saturday, 23rd August 2026, as family members, friends, church members, and
well-wishers gathered to celebrate the christening of baby Orion Korku
Butsormekpor, son of Mr. and Mrs. Elikplim Butsormekpor, proud
members of the Wonadem UBA Foundation (WUBAF).
The occasion brought together loved ones to celebrate
the gift of a new life and to give thanks to God for the blessings bestowed
upon the Butsormekpor family.
The sacred christening ceremony was officiated by RSM
Rev. G.D. Gakpetor shortly after the first church service at approximately 10:20
a.m.
The ceremony was marked by prayers, songs of praise,
thanksgiving, and blessings for the newborn. Baby Orion was warmly welcomed
into the Christian faith as family members and the congregation offered prayers
for God's guidance, protection, wisdom, and blessings throughout his life.
The celebration brought a deep sense of joy and
gratitude to the Butsormekpor family and everyone who gathered to share in the
memorable occasion.
The christening was not only a family occasion but
also an opportunity for the Wonadem UBA Foundation to demonstrate its
commitment to its members.
Members of WUBAF turned up in significant numbers to
support the Butsormekpor family and celebrate this important milestone with
them.
Their presence reflected the strong spirit of love,
care, unity, friendship, and solidarity that continues to define the
Foundation.
For WUBAF, moments such as these go beyond social
gatherings. They provide opportunities for members to stand together, celebrate
one another, and strengthen the bonds that make the Foundation a family.
One of the notable moments during the program was the
opportunity given to the Wonadem UBA Foundation to introduce itself and
its mission to the entire congregation of A.R.S. Edem Parish.
The introduction was led by the Ho Zonal Overseer,
Madam Bernice Achea, who presented an overview of the Foundation's mandate,
values, and objectives.
Madam Achea explained that Wonadem UBA Foundation
is a humanitarian organization committed to supporting the less privileged and
contributing positively to society.
She further highlighted the Foundation's commitment to
empowering young people by guiding and supporting them to acquire employable
skills that can help them build brighter and more sustainable futures.
Speaking to the congregation, she emphasized the
Foundation's belief in love, giving, mutual support, and community service.
“We believe in giving, we believe in love,
we believe in supporting one another and contributing positively to society.”
Madam Achea also used the opportunity to explain that
membership of the Foundation is open to individuals from all backgrounds,
tribes, and social statuses who have a genuine desire to give, love, care,
and support humanity.
Her presentation provided the congregation with a
better understanding of WUBAF's vision and its commitment to humanitarian
service and community development.
The Foundation's commitment to unity was clearly
demonstrated by the impressive number of members who attended the celebration.

The presence of members from different zones was a
powerful demonstration of the Foundation's spirit of togetherness.
It showed that WUBAF members are willing to travel and
stand together in moments of joy, just as they do during times when support and
solidarity are needed.
Following the close of the church service, the
celebration continued outside the auditorium.
At approximately 12:00 p.m., members of the
Wonadem UBA Foundation gathered for an official group photograph to capture the
memorable occasion.
Members subsequently shared light refreshments,
interacted, and fellowshipped in a warm and joyful atmosphere.
The gathering provided an opportunity for members to
celebrate with the Butsormekpor family while strengthening the bonds of
friendship, brotherhood, and sisterhood within the Foundation.
The christening of baby Orion Korku Butsormekpor
was more than a celebration of a newborn. It was an expression of the values
that continue to guide the Wonadem UBA Foundation — love, care, unity,
faith, service, and community.
By joining the Butsormekpor family on this special
occasion, WUBAF once again demonstrated that its commitment to its members
extends beyond its humanitarian program and outreach activities.
The Foundation believes in standing with its members
during important moments of their lives and celebrating their joys as one
united family.
The Wonadem UBA Foundation warmly congratulates
Mr. and Mrs. Elikplim Butsormekpor on the christening of their beloved
son, Orion Korku Butsormekpor.
