The true strength of a foundation is
reflected not only in its programs and achievements but also in its willingness
to stand with its members during life's most difficult moments.
Demonstrating this spirit of compassion, unity, and solidarity, members of the
WONADEM UBA FOUNDATION (WUBAF) gathered on Saturday, 10 October 2026, to
support Mr. McRobert Dogbey and his family during the funeral of his late
mother at Agave Agorta (Nworlikope).
The Foundation's participation demonstrated its
commitment to fostering a family spirit in which members support one another
not only during celebrations and organized activities but also in times of
grief and loss.
The church service commenced at approximately 9:45
a.m. While the service was ongoing, some WUBAF members assisted the Catering
Department with essential preparations.
Following the conclusion of the church service at
approximately 12:10 p.m., members continued to offer practical assistance by
serving the bereaved family and other funeral attendees. Their involvement
reflected the Foundation's commitment to service, compassion, and collective
responsibility.
After refreshments, members gathered for a brief
interaction, during which a donation was presented to Mr. McRobert Dogbey on
behalf of the Sogakope Zone and the Foundation. The donation served as a
gesture of sympathy and support, reminding the bereaved family that they were
not alone during their period of mourning.
Following the presentation, the Foundation's Public
Relations Officer, Ms. Love Afanou, expressed appreciation on behalf of the
Founder and the Executive Board to all members who made time to attend the
funeral and stand with their fellow member and his family.
She also expressed concern about the low turnout from
the host zone and encouraged members to participate more actively in future
Foundation activities. She emphasized that commitment, unity, and collective
responsibility are essential to sustaining the spirit of fellowship that WUBAF
seeks to promote.
Ms. Afanou further drew members' attention to the
upcoming WUBAF 2026/2027 Mega Outreach, scheduled for the end of the
year. She encouraged members to support the initiative and contribute towards
its success by submitting donated items early. This, she explained, would allow
sufficient time for planning, coordination, and transportation ahead of the
outreach.
Her message reinforced the importance of active
participation in the Foundation's activities and the need for members to work
together towards achieving its humanitarian objectives.
The Foundation's Chief Adviser and Co-Founder, Mr. Nuseli
Akpeleasi, also conveyed appreciation on behalf of the Executives and the
Foundation to all members who participated in the funeral activities.
His message acknowledged the dedication of members who
took time out of their schedules to support a fellow member during a difficult
period. Their presence demonstrated the importance of maintaining strong
relationships and providing practical support within the WUBAF family.
A total of 24 WUBAF members representing the
Ho, Central West, Accra, Sogakope, and Aflao Zones participated in the funeral
activities.
Their attendance highlighted the spirit of unity that
connects members across the Foundation's various zones. By coming together to
support Mr. McRobert Dogbey and his family, the members demonstrated that the
bond they share extends beyond geographical boundaries.
The day's activities concluded with a group photograph
before members departed at approximately 3:45 p.m. By 9:10 p.m., all
participating members had reported their safe arrival, bringing the day's
activities to a close.
WUBAF's participation in the funeral went beyond mere
attendance. Through practical assistance, a financial donation, words of
encouragement, and their presence throughout the occasion, members demonstrated
the Foundation's commitment to supporting its members and their families during
difficult times.
Such gestures reflect the values upon which WUBAF
continues to build its identity: love, care, compassion, unity, and service to
humanity.
The Foundation recognizes that its responsibility to
members does not end with organized programs, community outreach activities, or
celebrations. It also involves standing together during moments of grief,
extending a helping hand when needed, and ensuring that no member feels forgotten
during life's most challenging experiences.
As WUBAF continues to pursue its humanitarian mission
and prepare for the upcoming 2026/2027 Mega Outreach under the theme "Together
We Rise," the Foundation encourages all members to strengthen their
commitment to unity, active participation, and mutual support.
Together, through genuine love and collective
responsibility, WUBAF will continue to build a stronger family and make a
meaningful difference in the lives of its members and the communities it
serves.
