The Ho Zone of the WONADEM UBA FOUNDATION (WUBAF)
successfully held its 2026 Zonal Get-Together at the Ho Depot, bringing members
together for fellowship, appreciation, meaningful deliberations, and renewed
commitment to the vision and mission of the Foundation.
The gathering, which commenced at 3:15 PM, was
moderated by Ms. Caroline Agbolosoo and Mr. Bright Ametsitsi. The
programme opened with a prayer led by Miss Bridget Nanevi, followed by
self-introductions and the introduction of the Chairperson and Assistant
Chairperson, Mr. Agbesi Nukporwoe and Ms. Bless Mavis Dravie,
respectively.
In her welcome address, the Ho Zonal Overseer, Ms.
Bernice Achea, expressed her appreciation to members for their dedication,
commitment, and participation in the affairs of the Foundation.
She emphasized that the strength and achievements of
WUBAF depend largely on the collective commitment, sacrifice, unity, and active
participation of its members. She therefore encouraged members to continue
working together to advance the Foundation's objectives and support its
humanitarian initiatives.
One of the major issues discussed during the gathering
was the reintroduction of monthly zonal dues.
Following extensive deliberations, members unanimously
agreed to a GH¢5 monthly zonal due, while maintaining the existing
system of voluntary contributions. The decision is expected to strengthen the
financial capacity of the Ho Zone and enable it to effectively support its
activities and contribute to broader WUBAF programmes.
Members also discussed the management of voluntary
contributions, with various proposals presented regarding the percentage to be
retained by the zone and the portion allocated to the intended purpose. The
existing 20%/80% arrangement remained under consideration for the
appropriate final decision.
The Ho Zone also identified several essential items
needed to improve its ability to organize programmes and provide logistical
support during WUBAF activities.

The proposed acquisition of these items is expected to
strengthen the zone's preparedness and improve the organization of future
programmes and activities.
The upcoming WUBAF 2026/2027 End-of-Year Mega
Outreach was another key focus of the gathering.
Members were encouraged to support the humanitarian
initiative through physical participation, cash donations, and donations in
kind. Those wishing to donate physical items were encouraged to contact the
zonal leadership for assistance with collection.

The leadership urged members to contribute according
to their capacity as WUBAF continues its commitment to extending love, care,
and practical support to vulnerable and underprivileged communities.
The One Member, One Chair Initiative was also
discussed. A proposal was presented for the Ho Zone to acquire 10 chairs
in support of WUBAF.
Further consultation with members through the zonal
platform was proposed before the initiative is finalized. The initiative forms
part of broader efforts to provide adequate logistical resources for the
Foundation's programmes and activities.
A dedicated committee was also introduced to support
the Ho Zonal Leadership in coordinating and administering the affairs of the
zone.
The committee is expected to contribute to member
engagement, coordination, planning, and the effective implementation of zonal
activities, thereby helping to strengthen the administration and
functioning of the Ho Zone.
The get-together also provided an opportunity to
appreciate members and recognize notable achievements.
Ms. Bless Mavis Dravie
presented a citation to the Zonal Executives on behalf of the Ho Zone in
recognition of their dedication, commitment, and service.
In another special moment, Mr. Kenneth Dramani
Karim was honoured for his academic achievement after successfully
graduating with a Bachelor of Public Health (B.PH) in Nutrition from the
University of Health and Allied Sciences (UHAS).
His recognition reflected the Ho Zone's commitment to
encouraging academic excellence, personal development, achievement, and service
to humanity.
In his closing remarks, Mr. Agbesi Nukporwoe,
Chairperson for the gathering, encouraged members to remain committed to WUBAF
and contribute towards the upcoming Mega Outreach in whatever way they could.
He also urged members to be more time-conscious during
future programmes and expressed his appreciation to everyone whose efforts
contributed to the success of the gathering.
The vote of thanks was delivered by Ms. Saraphine
Ayivi, while the closing prayer was led by Ms. Patience Xornam Edifor.
The program officially ended at 6:00 PM.
Although the planned Borborbor/Jama display
could not take place due to time constraints, the 2026 Ho Zone Get-Together
successfully achieved its core objectives of fellowship, member engagement,
appreciation, collective decision-making, and planning for the future.
The gathering reaffirmed the importance of unity,
active participation, and collective responsibility in advancing the mission of
the WONADEM UBA FOUNDATION.
As WUBAF prepares for its 2026/2027 End-of-Year
Mega Outreach, the Ho Zone remains committed to contributing its quota
towards touching lives, supporting vulnerable people, and bringing hope to
communities in need.
The successful gathering serves as another reminder
that when members unite around a common purpose, meaningful impact can be
achieved.
