Restoring Dignity and Renewing Hope: WUBAF Empowers Vida Dogbey Through Life-Changing Wheelchair Donation

Asante Village, Doboro - 27th June 2026

Every act of kindness has the power to change a life. On Saturday, 27th June 2026, the Wonadem UBA Foundation (WUBAF) once again demonstrated its commitment to compassion and humanitarian service by donating a brand-new wheelchair to Ms. Vida Dogbey, a physically challenged resident of Asante Village in Doboro.

The life-changing outreach was carried out in collaboration with the Great Uncovered Mystery Platform and made possible through the generous support of founder and CEO of WUBAF - Sir UBA as part of the Foundation's Dark Moon Sacrifice initiative—an outreach program dedicated to extending practical support, love, and hope to vulnerable individuals within society.

The five-member WUBAF delegation, led by Mr. Eccles Atandzi, included Mr. Bliss Agordekpe, Ms. Celestine Draffor, Ms. Queen Kunugbe, and Ms. Augustina Ebo. The team arrived in Doboro at exactly 10:00 a.m., where they were warmly welcomed by Mr. Amegbor, the uncle and guardian of Ms. Vida Dogbey.

Upon arrival, the delegation was escorted to Vida's residence in Asante Village, where family members received them with appreciation and warmth.

During the visit, Mr. Eccles Atandzi officially welcomed the family on behalf of WUBAF and explained the purpose of the outreach, conveying the Foundation's heartfelt greetings and reaffirming its commitment to supporting individuals facing life's greatest challenges.

Speaking on behalf of the delegation, Mr. Bliss Agordekpe encouraged the family and expressed WUBAF's belief that no one should face hardship alone.

The delegation listened attentively as Mr. Amegbor recounted Vida's remarkable yet heartbreaking journey.

Several years ago, while carrying out her daily business near the Lands Commission in Accra, Vida was involved in a tragic road accident when a vehicle crashed into her, trapping her between two vehicles. The devastating injuries resulted in the amputation of one of her legs.

Although the first surgery was covered through the driver's third-party insurance, complications later developed in the second leg. Severe swelling, infection, and loss of sensation eventually made a second amputation unavoidable. While the insurance also covered the second procedure, no further compensation was provided.

Following the passing of Vida's father, Mr. Amegbor assumed full responsibility for her care. Despite these life-changing circumstances, Vida has continued to demonstrate extraordinary resilience while raising and supporting her 19-year-old daughter, who is currently pursuing her secondary school education.

One of the most emotional moments of the visit came when the WUBAF delegation carefully assembled and adjusted the brand-new wheelchair before officially presenting it to Vida, ensuring it was immediately ready for use.

To further support her immediate needs, the Foundation also presented her with an undisclosed cash donation.

The presentation was filled with heartfelt emotion as Vida expressed profound gratitude for the support. Her smile reflected renewed hope, renewed dignity, and the reassurance that she was not alone.

The delegation shared memorable moments with the family through photographs before concluding the program with a prayer led by Ms. Celestine Draffor, asking for God's continued protection, healing, and blessings upon the family.

Beyond the wheelchair donation, the outreach also celebrated those who quietly dedicate themselves to caring for others.

Through the generosity of Oracle Sir UBA, transportation expenses for the delegation were fully covered. In a touching surprise, Mr. Amegbor was also presented with a brand-new mobile phone in recognition of his years of unwavering commitment, sacrifice, and compassionate care for his niece.

The thoughtful gesture acknowledged the often-overlooked role of caregivers who devote themselves to improving the lives of vulnerable family members.

The outreach once again demonstrated the impact that compassion, unity, and purposeful service can have on individuals and communities.

Through initiatives such as the Dark Moon Sacrifice, WUBAF continues to restore hope, ease burdens, and bring practical solutions to people facing difficult circumstances. The Foundation remains committed to creating lasting change by reaching out to those who need support the most.

WUBAF extends its heartfelt appreciation to the special grace of GREAT GOSUBA, Oracle Sir UBA, the Great Uncovered Mystery Platform, and every individual whose generosity made this life-changing intervention possible.

Together, their support has not only provided mobility but has also restored confidence, dignity, and hope for a brighter future.

At Wonadem UBA Foundation, every act of kindness is an opportunity to transform lives and strengthen communities.

We Love. We Care. We Comfort.
